B.C. reported 44 new cases of Omicron yesterday. 37 in fully vaccinated, 7 in unvaccinated.
Imo, the light at the end of this pandemic tunnel is quickly approaching...good sign for humanity & good for our ACT trial(s) in general. As is the case with other rapidly mutating RNA viruses, each successive variant often leads to less severe illness...even though variants often remain highly transmissible. This decrease in severity/impact continues until an equilibrium is reached amongst an increasingly larger population who is vaccinated/naturally protected & a new virus's natural evolution or will to survive indefinitely (I.e. become an endemic virus like influenza A or B).
Summary: 1). There's a new bully on the block who wreaks the most havoc, but soon he gets noticed & is replaced by another...2). Soon after, a couple/few of the more standout bullies learn to join forces...3). Each year the strongest of the gang becomes leader...& 4). Each year a new silver bullet is developed to subdue, but never eliminate, said thug(s).
My guess is this pandemic will become a lesser endemic later next year, which will help spark new hope & optimism for humanity, the markets & TLT. All imo. Good luck to patient longs...I feel our Christmas stockings will finally be growing fuller every year.
