Luckily my Doc convinced me otherwise. That was over 3 years ago and I'm still having a pretty good life. My point being the older you get the dumber some of your decicions can be, or to put it another way, the more accepting of your fate. Age can certainly be a factor in opting out of continuing treatments.
Thanks for sharing your personal story langosta...glad you opted in & your story (as does gooseybear's) brings to light the importance of having treatment options when dealing with cancer. Cancer treatment rarely is a one-size-fits-all model, & TLT's unique patient-friendly approach should hopefully make one's treatment decision (doc & patient) a lot easier. Best of luck to you...
