If Only….This past week was difficult. I was informed that a husband of a friend of mine will need to have his bladder removed. After over 3 years of fighting this cancer, doctors believe they have no choice. Remarkably, the plan is to remove the bladder and to reconstruct it with parts of the intestine to make another bladder. The surgery is lengthy and the recovery process is challenging.
I encouraged the family to pursue our current trial. I don't know whether they did or whether he was not accepted. I do know that, as the future unfolds,TLD1433 will significantly reduce the need for people like this brave man to lose a part of themselves to survive.
Hoping the FDA agrees very soon.
