Actually, necrosis is the real wild and crazy cell death. Apoptosis is well regulated cell death. It used to be thought that necrosis predominantly caused an immune response. It is now known that some varieties of apoptosis also creates an immune reponse - such as the immunogenic apoptosis induced by TLD1433 PDT "Compared to “classical” apoptosis, immunogenic apoptosis, more properly called

PDT is known for not only stimulating a healthy immune response, but is also directly/immediately very cytotoxic via apoptosis & necrosis mechanisms...something Keytruda can't boast about & certainly could use as a partner.
