Let's calculate 10.000000 mil 6.500000 is taxable at 50 %that leaves me 3..25 mil plus3.75 mil.so o got left with 7.000000$ .I think a buy out should be at least10 billion

That's one of the big reasons why it should be a (non-taxable) stock exchange rather than a cash buyout, if and when it happens.

A $10 million gain will leave you ( us) with $6.75 million net, roughly. Not bad, instead of $7.5 million prior to this new taxation.

For US shareholders if you have shares in IRA now would be a good time to transfer them to a Roth IRA. yes taxable event but not payable til next April. This avoids any future capital gains whether at today's rate or Higher. If you really don't think share prices will be higher by Next April, you shouldn't be in this stock.
