RE:RE:Gupta resigns

I also wonder if his rather obvious ego got in the way. That rant about shareholders could not have sat well. From a company perspective I don't see the move as positive or negative. Not yet anyway. The bigger issue is the product mix. I just don't see it being a winner. You also have to wonder why they didn't promote Fred. Hasn't he successfully run other companies?

My take on this...

1- Gupta was never good with shareholders. In his blog post of December 8th, he was ranting about shareholders https://vikastransgaming.wordpress.com/2014/12/08/the-equilateral-triangle-conundrum/

2 - Last week, his CEO WRAP-UP President's Message felt more like a farewell letter to me. https://www.transgaming.com/news/ceo-wrap

It was then followed by a badly written press release by IR which does not even appear on TransGaming.Com but can be found here https://www.stockwatch.com/News/Item.aspx?bid=Z-C%3aTNG-2239145&symbol=TNG®ion=C

3- My guess is TransGaming will need to raise cash sooner than later and no one in the banking industry trusts Gupta anymore. It was time for him to go.

4- The good point about him staying on the board is that he will remain an insider. If he starts dumping his shares, we will know.

5- I am also surprised as to why Fredrick Liljegreen was not promoted to CEO or even interim-CEO. Maybe it was not offered to him... maybe he does not want it.

6- I think long-term this is good news for TransGaming. I would not be surprised if some member of his fan club would be shown the door as well.

7 - There has not been a single news release related to SwiftShader this year. What a disappointment.

8 - GameTree TV is a failure. If it was to generate money, it would be already reflected in the financials.

Just my humble opinion.
