I know that penny stocks are not marginable.
but for shorts
As long as the lone post has the stock to lend for a short it can be shorted .
The restriction only exists on the TSX side for odd lots you can not short an odd lot,
but full board lots can be shorted at pennies
my opinion only. Maybe a professional trader can tell us the exact rule.
