RE:RE:RE:Dirt bags and thieves!In theory that's correct.  However, in many cases these options expire worthless which doesn't incent anyone.  When you are given anything you are much less likely to appreciate it's value.  There isn't anything these options are going to do to get management to do what they are paid to do anyway.  i used to think that by purchasing shares, i became a part owner in a company.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  I, along with others who are shareholders are the last to hear about news or the direction of the business.  Once these options vest if the share price is north of the strike price, usually you will find lots of insiders on the offer - valuable information a part owner might like to know.  So when there is a bit of good news and the shares rally the roob investor ends up purchasing shares from someone with a "vested" interest in the company.  A fair playing field it is not.
