Shareholder ValueI think everyone's frustrated with the price performance in the past few months, including myself. But the fact is that this company is years off from production. The 145MM is no guarantee that UCU will be a profitable company at the end of the day.
While it will help our future prospects to have deep pockets funding our capx; the fact remains: Greenbacks can’t separate REE minerals into oxides and metal. Furthermore, that money is contingent upon Ucore’s ability to prove to the AIDEA, the DOD and the world, that that SPE works outside of a laboratory setting.
But here’s the thing, at these levels I don’t see much downside. Ucore has come a long way despite what the naysayers would like you to believe. And if, yes …if…, Ucore can pull off SPE, then we are sitting on game changing, life changing, world changing technology that can’t be denied.
The throughput for this technology’s and its ability to turn REE Soup into Oxides, is like, the upgrading China’s analog process into the digital world. Ucore will have the ability, through ion exchange, to instantly separate metals. I don’t know how schooled everyone is on China’s separation process, but it represents a huge bottleneck in production. So, they do the only thing they can… they scale up. Not only is this resource intensive, inefficient, and environmentally damaging, it’s NOT sustainable. SPE is the answer to this problem.
Ucore is the US’s best bet to establish a “Mandated DOD National Defense Stockpile” through domestic means. Our customer is lined up, our funding is lined up, and the goal is a straight forward one. SPE. And to top it off, the inventor is on the board!!! Let me say that again… Richard Hammen is on the board of directors.
The last time I spoke to Mark Macdonald he said, and I quote: “I wish I could tell you the developments we’ve made”. This was in response to some pretty hard questioning about the BFS, Pilot Plant and SPE on the first day the stock dropped to $0.25 after AIDEA funding decision. He made it sound like it was out of his hands; out of Ucores hands even to release material news. So with this recent article, I finally understand why, because it’s a matter of national strategic importance in our economic struggle with china. China might have the resource intensive processes down, but the beauty of the first world is our grip on capital intensive processes, technology and the efficiencies unlock when you have both.
