The reason that Ketchikan is not being built first is because of time and only because of time. The companies that want Ucore to produce REE oxides. Want it as soon as possible. To build in Alaska takes two years. One year to build the building and one year to build the SMC. What they call a green site. LA is a brown site. Building the SMC inside an empty building, but only taking one year or less to do it. Depending on how much overtime you are willing to paid.
As for Ausheds 2013 post. That was before a lot of updated information was added to the report. A lot more drilling and proving that the deposit was good to a deeper depth and taking in more of the dike in length. You have to remember that the Bokan deposit is made up of four long vertcial dikes. Only the one closest to the sea has been drillled and tested to prove how good the deposit is. They only started taking samples from the surface of the second dike this year. So the post was misleading at best. Nice try.
