Perhaps he misinterpreted (and imcorrectly extrapolated to tons per annum) the independent test results, whether intentionally, or due to lack of understanding. Maybe he's starting to understand that chemical engineering is not the same as making auto parts.
Tons per assum needs to cover the entire end to end production process, not based on just one portion of the process. And it needs to accounf for production set up time and maintenance cycles. Did Pat take all that into account in his 3 to 6 times speedup claims, and the claim that OpEx would be substantially reduced?
