Invest Alberta signs MOU with Korean Giant POSCO Holdings in Support of Lithium Venture

"As the holding company of the POSCO Group, POSCO Holdings is engaging in the development and investment in its lithium business. With the demand for lithium growing alongside the demand for electric vehicles, POSCO Holdings can lead the way in exploring oil-field brine lithium with the support of Alberta’s existing industry, talent pool, and post-secondary institutions that are actively pursuing solutions to some of the challenges associated with extracting brine-hosted lithium."

"What we’re really looking for at the end of the day is the end-to-end supply chain discussion, so it’s not just about mining the resource ... it’s about producing it, refining it, all the way to getting it ready for consumer products," Christiaanse said

Pumping a lithium stock? As one of the premier pumpers here in times past, at least until you did a 180 on the IBC venture, you should at least have let the board know the latest IBC news. Reed Izatt obit

So there is still a chance for MRT?   Watch ucore circle back.
Comment by Dragonsmyth7 on Nov 08, 2023 11:57am
Dear Pip,  I think that Ucore would not touch MRT until there SMCs are up and running.  All companies are on the hunt for the next gen tech from what they have now.  Can't sell MRT like they can RSX.  A tech to far at this point. It also depends on who inherts the mad scientist shares/control of the tech.  Remembe that it was the 60/40 deal that Dr Izatt would not move ...more

Dragon rsx not a green tech.  Just not as dirty as SX.  Can't sell MRT like they could RSX?    Where are those RsX sales?   Think I missed that NR Maybe RSX doesn't move the needle enough to get funding.  EV and battery companies have put buildout plans on hold. EVs stacking up at dealership. OEMs may not pull the trigger heck, even MP and lynas having ...more

The real question is whether RSX is a green, as in $$$, tech.
Comment by PipinoCuevas on Nov 08, 2023 5:23pm
Absolutely  dragon saying what ucore will do means zilch ucore getting decent amount of non dilutive funding is what we need pqt Ryan said "15 months from license revenue" back in 2021 how that work?
Comment by Dragonsmyth7 on Nov 08, 2023 6:55pm
Dear Bob, RSX can separate heavy REEs and that what DOD is looking for.  So yes, RSX is a $$$ tech.   Dragon

Dragon: "RSX can separate heavy REEs." Perhaps, but public investors have yet to see the evidence.
Comment by PipinoCuevas on Nov 08, 2023 8:42pm
The " ucore can separate heavies" is a ridiculous statement  what matters is if they can do it cost effectively and in a timely manner, in large volumes, have customers, etc Oh yeah, and that they get funding from non dilutive sources, preferably more than 50%
Comment by Dragonsmyth7 on Nov 08, 2023 10:05pm
Dear Pip,  You are wrong, Pip.  It would not matter to DOD if RSX cost more money.  The only thing that they would worry about is can Ucore supply then with a set amount of heavy REEs oxides on time.  If DOD could buy heavy REEs oxides outside of China. It would not matter the cost, secure scouce of supply would be more importent than cost.  They work on getting the cost ...more

I don't think that Reed Izatt controlled the shares or tech. He was 97 when he passed away recently. It's his son Steven Izatt who runs IBC. By the way, IBC does still generate revenue from MRT. Their web page at some point cited Sibanye-Stillwater (a South African based miner of platinum group metals and other minerals) as a customer. I inquired a few months ago as to whether IBC was ...more
