What has the company accomplished? The company has had a long adventure as they’ve started back in 2007 by offering only 3D virtual tours. In 2009, they came up with a design to build their own 3D camera and 2012 due to lack of funding, they’ve decided to drop their project to build the 3D camera. Throughout the years, the company encountered some difficulties, so they’ve decided to roll up their sleeves and work harder to add value to their company by completing some milestones such as building a SaaS platform between 2013-2015 to then acquire Tourbuzz in 2018. Tourbuzz is a leader as they have many North American photographers using their platform. Remembering about their 3D tour software, they’ve integrated it into Tourbuzz’s platform. As they’ve noticed a positive feedback of their 3D tours, they’ve decided to work on it even more. As time passes, COVID hits which impacted the real estate market, which lead to a large demand of their 3D tours services as physical home tours are heavily restricted and difficult to complete. Another milestone made by the company in 2020 was to acquire ImmerSolution, a reseller of camera hardware. Finally, the company recently announced that a large NA Police Department selected their services which proves how serious and effective their product is.

Why are 3D tours becoming more popular? The simple answer is that companies such as Ricoh offers 360 cameras that are more affordable and obviously the COVID pushed the market to search new ways to showcase houses while keeping a minimum of human contact to avoid the spread of the virus. So, combining each factor leads to an explosion in the demand of virtual 3D tours which positioned Urbanimmersive with their low-cost products to have a boost in demand as well. Obviously, the virtual tours will remain in the future as a popular tool as more and more customers adopt this new method as it shows to be effective.
3DMeetUI? It’s nice for a home buyer to visit a house virtually, but there’s no human contact there, if they have a question, they have no one to turn to on the spot, so in January 2021, the company released an interesting update. They are now allowing users to visit the virtual tour with their friends and an agent to offer a guided tour which brings a whole new experience.

Does Urbanimmersive limit itself to the Real Estate Market? The beauty of their 3D tours technology is the fact that it is cost effective and does not have any limits, for a fact, on their website gallery, they have also completed Virtual Tours for commerce, historical buildings, factories, etc. What’s interesting is that it allows the user to add tags on walls, products which leads to a video or a website (product page) which brings a lot of potential for stores to create a virtual 3D tour with employees roaming around the virtual store to assist any customers that would request information about a product.
