I know of a person who invested 1000 in 1949

and with all the roll-backs etc the investment is now worth 1.27 yes one dollar and twenty seven cents.
the share certificate is framed and it hangs over his toilet since 1958.

I won`t say you don`t have a reason to feel bad , but that is how the market works sometimes and I hate it when they do that too , especially if they don`t have anything to follow up with,  That`s why we need to spread the money around and not stay at the party too long if there is no follow up .

Well, I suggest you don't take any investing advice from that person (except maybe "never keep shares in a failing company that long"), as I know people who invested $9,000 in a house and a few acres in 1960 and could sell now for a couple of million easy.....original old house still standing with hardly any renovations.  Likely at that time $1,000 could have ...more

Peter the newbies to this company do not know what there getting into, there money will be gone or a the very least tied up for good. as always.
