Newmont does not disclose the average grade of Twin Creeks on their website. For some reason, I think it is a big tonnage, low grade deposit similar to Marigold. And from what I can make sense of NGE’s news and website is that Kelly Creek is also expected to be a large tonnage and low grade deposit.
SGV on the other hand hopefully delivers a Cortez look-a-like depsoit which is small tonnage but high grade and likely more profitable to mine than the deposit type they are targeting at KCB. At SGV, if a drill hole gets so lucky to result in a long intersection of 15-20 g/MT Au, then the market will realize the significance and will be anxious to see just how big the deposit is and see if they can delineate another Cortez clone.
But don’t listen to me. I am a novice investor who has a decent chunk of shares in NGE and is very biased and excited to see the drills turn at SGV.
