RE:RE:Is it normal for stocks to be halted for talks?SG, mining holding company, announced they were PURSUING a possible MMJ deal in the first week of January 2 months ago. The stock appreciated because many wise and active new investors (like myself) assumed that where there was smoke, there was fire. We also set out to research the chit out of it for possible connections and synergies....I accumulated over 120K below .35 cents and most of it between .23 and .27 cents. It climbed into the .50's and then was halted. I sold more than half in the .50's up to .60 cents. It was halted at the beginning of Feb and the good news was released after a couple of weeks......
It is still halted but trending to open around $1. I don't care how long a halt is because I mostly go long on a stock until I hit my 100%+ and then let it run for other pricepoints.. But, I won't just jump at any stock if I don't have a vision for what price it could achieve and where it is at. I did not jump on VPT as an example........and there are many others. Its all about the DD which drives the confidence.......so long and short of it, who cares how long the halt is as long as it is posiitve forward looking news....
And that is what we are about to get!
