Ventripoint Diagnostics Ltd is a Canada-based medical device company. The Company is engaged in the development and commercialization of diagnostic tools that monitor patients with heart disease. It is developing a suite of applications for all heart diseases and imaging modalities, including congenital heart disease, pregnancy, pulmonary hypertension, COVID-19, imaging, and cardiotoxicity in oncology patients. The Company’s Ventripoint Medical System (VMS+) is a diagnostic aid that was developed to provide a point-of-care solution to better communicate the heart’s structure and function without the need for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). VMS+ enhances ultrasound, providing three-dimensional (3D) technology that allows for visualization of all four chambers of the heart. The system’s proprietary Knowledge Based Reconstruction (KBR) technology creates 3D models of the heart and calculates volumes and ejection fractions equivalent to the gold-standard Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

We had an amazing experience at last week’s IP for Business Growth conference, hosted by New Ventures BC and Innovate BC at SFU VentureLabs. Founders and experts shared their insight into the impact of IP on valuations in a half-day of learning, discussion, and networking.

INETCO’s CEO and Founder, Bijan Sanii, participated in a thought-provoking panel discussion on how to monetize IP as your company grows. Panelists shared their knowledge and experience in using IP as a tool for locking in the value of a company and the importance of IP in providing a foundation for innovation, acquiring customers, and attracting partners and investment.

A huge thank you to our co-panelists Barry Jinks (UBC Electrical and Computer Engineering), Hugh MacNaught (Ventripoint Diagnostics Ltd.), Steph (Pharo) Rose (Rotoliptic Technologies Inc.) and moderator Geoffrey Hansen (Garibaldi Capital Advisors) for sharing your experience and insight, and to all attendees for your active participation and questions.
