JAMA Cardiology Study

This study was done to do an analysis on athlete's hearts as to whether they were affected by covid.

https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamacardiology/fullarticle/2777308

Method of Testing:  Troponin testing, electrocardiography (ECG), and resting echocardiography were performed after a positive COVID-19 test result. Interleague, deidentified cardiac data were pooled for collective analysis. Those with abnormal screening test results were referred for additional testing, including cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and/or stress echocardiography.

Possibly replacing this method of testing or supplementing it with Ultrasound Plus VMS+3 would be a better approach.

Thank you for putting this article on the Board.. I agree it’s very important, to  recognize the Cardiac complications of COVID is a growing public health problem, and that better imaging could facilitate diagnosis and management of these patients. (Although, with vaccines now spreading rapidly throughout the world, hopefully COVID and this problem will be contained) & ...more

You say:  "The question is, is it realistic? If so, why is there no articles in the cardiology literature, or multi centre clinical trials ongoing , or even just adoption of the technology since it’s approved, given the force of innovation and adoption of digital technologies and other technologies as noted widely and referenced above." Would you agree that this study may ...more

This could  be an important study in children of atrial disease, but the topic that I was referring to was the long term implications of  covid on the heart.   My understanding, is that children have not had significant problems with COVID related cardiac complication as with adults, however aKawasaki disease-like syndrome has been reported  in children. There ...more

GB, ..... would you agree that if VMS 3.0 can detect Atrial Dysfunction it could very well detect inflammation of the heart muscle (myocarditis) that typically occurs in patients with advanced COVID-19 disease.   jmo G1945V

Clearly, myocarditis can be linked to dysfunction, and in turn heart failure.   The point is, not whether there is some indirect finding in a paediatric study that could be applied to Covid cardiac monitoring (which is in adults)...   If you want to study monitoring of the heart, in patients with Covid, you would design a study and do it -in COVID patients with cardiac ...more

And what was the question again? Did this answer it or was it a deflection? See a lot of those on the TV these days.

GB... your best bet to get clear answers is to write to  George Adams, Ph.D., ICD.D. I'm sure he'll answer all your concerns and perhaps you'll share it with us. Have a good day. G1945V.

Fair enough. I think we have analyzed it enough. 'Time for a good break from the internet-off to the country for a while. Take care and have a good weekend G

Of course it is speculation, that's what the entire stock market is. If the system was factually adopted and endorsed by a number of cardiologists, it'd likely already be in dollar land. We'll find out soon enough

Like that old saying goes...." Buy on rumour / speculation, sell on news"

Yes, but news brings more rumours...

I've been away from the board for a couple days...getting caught up. G1945V, are you serious in asking GrahamB a technical question? I have him on iggy so won't see his response, but if he even responds, he'll no doubt try to fake his way through it. Whatever, don't buy into his carp! He owns no VPT, and yet takes time out of his day to "save us" from this terrible ...more

Exactly, good call. If you're not invested in the company, or considering being invested, there is no reason to be here. Unless of course, you're being rewarded to spread doubt. Many companies valuations do not match their share price, this is not rocket science. You factor in "possibility and chance" and weigh it against "market conditions and sector comparables" and ...more

No matter how big or successful, every company has negatives which may or may not be serious enough to affect stock price. I don't understand why people want to close their minds to ALL of the information available to investors by ignoring information they don't like.  Some advice from an experienced investor (not me!!!!): https://www.pinnacledigest.com/tsx-venture-investing/why ...more
