RE: AntimonyAntimony was $2100 in 2003 and they were borderline viable. The study that was done by VVC at the beginning of 2005 and based their estimation of Antimony prices of that of 2004 ($2600US/lb). In aug of 2005 antimony was $3600, and is now even higher (near $5000US/lb). The mine is viable and they expected to make almost $9,000,000 ebita based on the $2600 price. It currently is not re-opened but how long do you think it will take before they make that announcement! And realistically that $9,000,000 estimate is peanuts compared to the current day estimate. And now Antimony as far as i can see further gained at the end of 2005 and again in 2006 to near the $5000US/lb marker. Not mention the recent gains in the metals market very recently would probably have also increased the antimony price further.
Hard not to see a little hidden value in vvc?
Good investing.
