All the vaccines being approved now, Moderna and Pfizer/Biontech, based their vaccine on the covid genetic map first published back in January 2020. Those vaccines are meant to stimulate antibody against the spike protein of covid-19. But that virus genome has already mutated. There are covid strain now that is now more infectious, that means the spike protein has already changed. That will be a problem for Moderna and Pfizer, they are potentially rolling out an ineffective vaccine.
