Was fired up more then I should have been when Canada invoked the emergencies act. The Canadian government overstepped considering previous times invoked were essentially times of war. The act gives the government temporary dictatorship and the ability to freeze peoples banks who donated $25 prior to the group being illegal.
Freedom of peaceful assembly is important to the democracy. It doesn't matter what people are protesting.
what is allowed: peaceful demonstrations and peaceful protests
what is not: blockading trade routes and creating a bigger disturbance to other citizens
