Your doom prediction is certainly a possibility, but even Dr. Doom himself, Marc Faber, doesn't beleive in this scenario because he expects governments will massively print money to get out of the hole. I have been following is macro and market calls since the beginning of 2009 and so far he is almost perfect. The futur will tell if he'll continue to be right...
