Alumina Partners (Ontario) Ltd is a subsidiary of New York's Alumina Partners LLC
they seem to do quite a few smaller size investments in companies they like. Google Alumina Partners for a list of recent investments. Most seem to get less than the $12m that WEE got.

they are private principle investors. Would be interesting to know who approached who in Wee's case. I would guess they researched and approached WEE with the deal.
