The burden of proof falls on the person making the assertion, not on the skeptic to disprove it. If you tell me unicorns, the loch Ness monster, etc... exist or that you saw a UFO from outer space, the burden is on YOU to supply evidence, not on me to prove that you are wrong. I always refer to Hitchens' razor which states "that which is asserted without evidence, may be dismissed without consideration."
