The US has lost more in the last two and a half years in terms of freedom of speech than they gained in the last hundred as well as other rights that used to be inherent

Kicking a president off social media, being used to silence any political opposition, yep that sounds like Russia or China all right.
Don't compare the US to other countries, compare it to what it used be (but just ignore that invading other countries for no reason kind of stuff that was sort of minor, or having over 700 military bases in other countries around the world while Russia has two :-)
