Magnesium
Is one of the most corrosion susceptible metals in the periodic table. This is usually handled by using surface treatments to prevent surface corrosion and by alloying with other metals. But it's even more corrosion susceptible than aluminum. So corrosion resistance is a disadvantage of magnesium, really only it's light weight and ability to alloy with other metals and still be reasonably strong give it advantage.
