The Canadian Wealth Minerals will apply for a Special Lithium Operation Contract (CEOL) for the Salar de Ollage this week. Without referring to the specific request, the executive director of Wealth Minerals, Marcelo Awad, explained that in the Salar de Ollage, where it owns 9,200 hectares and has an agreement with the communities, “we carried out the first exploration program and we have just closed a second agreement with the communities for the second and last (program) of pumping well explorations.” He added that “we should have all of this finished by the middle of next year.” In the Salar de Ollage, they have already invested US$ 12 million, with the new program a similar sum is added, totaling about US$ 24 million, so by the middle of next year they expect to be close to US$ 24 million or US$25 million. The Canadian company also carries out prospecting in the Salar de Atacama, where it has mining property for 52,000 hectares in the northeast, Awad explained.
