RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Getting ready to s- Reading through the latest news release regarding forming the special committee and hiring RBC and PI Financial for strategic advice, I am surprised that Jeff mentions that management is looking at investors who will be willing to buy blocks of shares from shareholders at a competitive price to that offered by AQN ($2.50) and those investors who are not hostile !!!!!.... What does that mean.... hostile to who ??...
- As far as I see, if the management does not want to see this takeover bid to go through, get the share price above $2.50 and that will take care of it.
I am getting the impression that the management is trying to get "other investors" who will takeover the shares from "large shareholders" at a price close to $2.50 but will be opposed to AQN takeover.
- What "investors" will be interested in this kind of deal !!!.... Hmmmm..... Are we looking at a potential "private placement" or a " debt financing" arrangement to thwart this takeover bid. Whatever they do, if the end result is a share price which drifts lower than $2.50 in the near term will result in a lot of disgruntled shareholders.
