BNN Market Call: WND a BUY

Robert McWhirter BUY Western Wind Energy WND-X 1.950 US wind company. Have been able to get a 30% tax credit from the US government which dramatically improves the economics. Expecting the systems to fully generate and produce visible earnings and cash flow in the 1st and 2nd quarters this year. Could be a takeover candidate. 2012-02-03

Interesting that Robert McWhirter is caling it now. Last time he called it was when WND was at the bottom, climbing it's way out of .57. If his track record for calling bottoms on such stocks perseveres, perhaps he is anticipating good things to come for WND.

1. Not very shareholder friendly 2. Mgmt and BOD make a ton of cash. 3. Mgmt doubledips with outrageous salaries PLUS bonuses for projects that they are supposed to do anyway. 4. Incentive to sell not there because of  - see item 2. 5. Transparency is lousy. Say it ain't so. I never would have guessed!

McQuirter must be Schizoid because he hates management, hates the their success, but loves the company and owns and recommends the stock.  Management and the Company are one of the same. Must be still upset that WND management never bought his theory of CTW, which crapped out completely and he even endorsed CTW when they bought a corporate Jet.   Wurter McQuirter, I hate you but I love ...more

I think he sees value in the company, but is a bit confused by why management did not entertain other bids when the AQN bid came out; and belives this is attributed to the high paying salaries and bonuses of management and BoD. Can't blame him, but he does believe there is much value to be realized in the company overall.

Did McQuirter try to get WND to use the Catch the Wind tech?  Did he suggest this in a public forum or on bnn?

Who cares. By the way I have been to their facility. Catch the Wind was experimental. Maybe they have developed their product that moves the turbine since I was there. They are 4 miles from my house. Cash flow, not tangents will finally value WND.

I think we all need to appreciate that the company is growing its assets, and positioning themselves to generate increased cash flow, and conversely, we need to confirm this strategy by getting some 'proof' that these assets are indeed adding to our bottom line. I think management is doing that, and it will come in time as we hit each of the quarterly milestones. I don't see how ...more
