Wind production tax credit. What will happen to WN

How will this affect WND's future?

they are going to Washingto to argue the case. expected a 20% rebate and were given a 5% instead and were caught up in a roof top application barrage asking for 30 to 40% rebates so washington cap them all at 5.   Future looks good ebtda came in at 5 cents a share for first quarter and a new loan to pay off the high interest corporate debt is being arranged, 60 days for completion,  cash ...more

I am talking about  the Renewable Electricity Production Tax Credit (PTC)   of 2.2¢ per kWh for wind, that generally applies to the first 10 years of operation.  It is set to expire at the end of this year which means that WND future projects will not get it.

This is very important. Wind turbine and parts factories are shutting down and projects are getting cancelled because the tax credit has not been renewed.

sorry did not hear anything about that most of the questions were about the selling the company and the new acquisition and dilution all in all Jeff sounded very confident and totally agreed that the market was mis pricing   the company and promised that in 7 quarters things would look very good.

I'm wondering if any of these future projects will go forward at all if the PTC expires, as is likely now.

I'm pretty sure management knows about this and has factored it in.
