when wnd sold

when wnd. is sold will that money wnd. recives be used to pay debits and expenses and then the

remaining money be split to share holder's or will they buy stock back before its sold ???

It depends. But often the acquiring company will take on the debt as well as the assets. The money usually goes directly to shareholders.

thanks peak thats what  I thouht so the stock price at that time really has no effect on the value the share holders will receive.

Depends on the offer, sometimes its an all cash offer per share, others times they just offer shares of the acquirer and sometimes its a combo. but the offer you see is the amount you will receive.
