It is what it is

1. Capital pools buying for the return makes it MUCH easier to value the company. Each of them will have a minimum return they require and that will make their top offer easy to calculate once they have analyzed operational risks and cost and counterparty risk. With longterm offtake agreements with regulated utilities, risks will be considered low and therefore the yield required will be relatively low.

2. Given the high volume yesterday and the close at the high, the typical opening today should have been with large volume and a strong price, followed by some traders taking profits. This did not happen and the most logical explanation is the BNN interview. I've watched these situations unfold for more years than most of you have been alive. Monday's action, especially at the close when the stock regained its high, was VERY strong and should have carried forward. Volume should have been strong this morning, driven by bids. I did notice that the strong bidding coming yesterday from Instinet, always at and near the bid, was not in evidence this morning before the opening. If the CEO had said things that the average trader understood to be more bullish than was assumed before the interview, the bidding would have been larger and more aggressive. That the price did not crumble because of profit-taking means that what Jeff said did not kill the optimism of all that many people. But it has not raised the average expectation of the short-term thinkers who care about quick profits and don't really care even about what the company does to make money.

3. I see that Instinet is more active now, on the rebound, but we still have profit-takers stronger than the bidders. If we get no more hints or news in the coming weeks, I plan to buy more at lower prices. On the other hand, if we get indications that substantiates my bullish view on the ultimate price, I will buy more at higher prices.

we had a host of late bidders and an extra few weeks does not matter.... this alows day traders to exit and enter where as if he had not stated it as such perhaps those traders would be longer holds Any how I dont think this will fall

Peter, you need to read more carefully and pay attention to the literal meaning of the words. Maybe waiting longer doesn't matter to YOU. I am writing about what matters to the Markets and to arbitrageurs that are buying the shares and to short-term traders looking for an exit opportunity.  Time is money. The longer it takes the more profit an arb will require to bother to buy the stock ...more

Agrossfarm, with new entrants kicking the tires at WND I think it was prudent of the CEO to suggest that bids may be delayed past the mid December deadline for bids. That way the market is not unpleasantly surprised when no bids surface by Dec. 15th. Good bit of guidance really. Why limit the number of players with a hard and fast deadline, especially if the interest is from some serious players ...more

Fastlane, Q3 earnings are out on Thursday. Could be a catalyst. Conference call on Friday.

I don't think the Q3 numbers will cause a jump in SP, it's all irrelevant at this point - what it may bring is some price stability. Just go on about living folks, come back in the new year. All is well. Enjoy!

The market showed its hand on Monday after months/years of under valuing the company it finally said ya its worth more than 2.50 probably more than 3. So it is pretty safe bet that the mr market is still drastically under valuing the share price.  I say there is at least a 20% discount  at the momemt

JEFF SAID SIGNIFICATE NOT 20 PERCENT PARDON THE CAPS
Comment by Fastlane2 on Nov 27, 2012 5:00pm
Hey impega, unless the 3rd. quarter results are explosive and Jeff raises the next few quarters, that would be the only way the share price takes off and even if that happens it may just be a trading opportunity, I happen to agree with Xtrykr0 it may be a non event for us however, it maybe a deep look at the future for potential bidders, my take anyway.
