Brookfield doesn't need cash to buy my shares. I will take Brookfield shares as long as they give more enough of them. Given me 1 Brookfield for 8 WND and they got a deal before Yabucoa closes. Then again, I'd prefer to have shares of Berkshire Hathaway. or GE

might be closer to 1 for 10 which I would take

You are not demanding enough, Prob. Most WND shareholders would sell their Brookfield, pushing the price down and the increased BEP share float from the deal would make each share worth less. The price decline in BEP stock would happen as soon as an acceptable offer was made as arbs buy WND and sell the offsetting amount of BEP. BEP could easily go to $28 and there is no way WND is only worth $2 ...more

"Go to the last Q report, find the 9 month EBITDA number and annualize it by multiplying by 1.33. Then divide it by 0.08, then divide that number by the number of WND shares, add 60 cents for the discounted WND tax benefit and then substract $3 in debt per share. The resulting value is WND without Yabucoa and without any other project under development." ================================= ...more

Q3 9 month EBITDA, corrected for the 26 days in Jan. before Windstar went on line was $34,318,767. Annualized it is $45,757,212 (note that this is not necessarily the 20 year average EBITDA that would be projected using a longterm resource (wind and/or sun) estimate, as the ultimate buyer will use). Divide that by 0.08. Divide that by a generous overestimate of shares outstanding (I used 73 ...more

I was just following your instructions.

You mean your dog ate the instructions? LOL Keep in mind that a lot of the factors in the calculations involve assumptions that an actual bidder would make differently or would replace with real data that is available in the data room (and that we have no access to). But anyone who does the calculations and then would be happy with more than a 1/3 discount is not greedly enough. IMO. Perhaps ...more

"Q3 9 month EBITDA, corrected for the 26 days in Jan. before Windstar went on line was $34,318,767." ---------------------------------------------------------- But according to WND's numbers, the total revenue for the same period, adjusted for the 26 days, is only $30.5 million. How can the ebitda be more than the total revenue? I am confused.
