Completion of 2023 Drill Program at Rowan Property

Today, West Red Lake Gold Mines (WRLG.v WRLGF) announced the completion of its 2023 drill program at its 100% owned Rowan Property, located in the prolific Red Lake Gold District in Ontario, Canada: https://www.thenewswire.com/press-releases/1BOxF9Vqg-west-red-lake-gold-wrlg-v-completes-2023-drill-program-at-the-rowan-property.html

As stated by Will Robinson, WRLG's VP of Exploration:
“The West Zone at Rowan is an area that was historically mined,”
“We drilled 80 meters beneath the lowest level of historic workings and hit 4.0 meters @ 9.5 g/t gold, demonstrating that mineralization continues at depth.”
“In the East Zone, there appears to be asymmetric folding that doubles up and thickens the mineralized zones, delivering spectacular intercepts. The West Zone is probably along the limb of a deposit-scale fold,”
“This type of gold system requires extensive drilling to accurately define and grow it. The West Zone currently has a low drill density. We are going to explore it further in 2024”.

The Rowan Gold Project is located 15km from WRLG's flagship asset, The Madsen Gold Mine, which is debt-free, fully permitted and has a brand new 800+ tonne per day mill.

While current drilling at Rowan tested the gold grade down to a depth of ~550m, the Red Lake District is known to host ore bodies that extend down over 4km in depth, attesting to the significant discovery potential remaining.

Final Drill Results
Earlier this week, WRLG released the final drill results from the program, which focused on infilling gaps in the geologic model between the East and West Zones, as well as infill and expansion at depth on the West Zone ore shoot.

Notably, a hole was successful in intercepting 4.0m @ 9.5 g/t Au approximately 80m beneath the historic workings, demonstrating the down-plunge potential that still exists in the West Zone.

The work completed at the Rowan Project during 2023 was catalyst-rich, marking a range of exploration achievements, including:
  • Acquiring the remaining interest in the property and bringing ownership to 100%
  • Drilling a total of 62 holes for 20,211.4m of NQ diamond drill core at the Rowan Mine deposit with up to 70.80 g/t Au over 8.3m, 50.52 g/t Au over 4.0m and 66.66 g/t Au over 2.0m
  • Positive metallurgical tests results indicating overall gold extraction above 98% and requiring only minor changes to the existing flowsheet at the Madsen Mill
  • Defined high-grade East Zone ore shoot at Rowan down to 490m depth which still remains open for expansion below this level
  • Drilled two additional holes for 780m of NQ diamond drill core at the Red Summit NE target which confirmed the geologic thesis and warrant additional drilling in this area.

Boasting a combined gold resource of 6.9M tonnes indicated at a grade of 7.4 g/t and 2.8M tonnes inferred at 9.2 g/t from the Madsen and Rowan Mines, WRLG is on track to become a strong player in the industry.

With the new drilling results on both properties... does anyone know when the next 43-101 might come out?
