Attempt to blow up Hasira oil field thwarted

02/04/2012 16:25 ERBIL, April 2 (AKnews) - An attempted bomb attack today on Hasira oil field in Kfri was foiled by Sarqala, Kuks and Khan security teams (Asayesh).

Kfri's security director Kamal Muhamad explaind that a bomb was found near Chalarash village, about 2km from Hasira oil field, which was believed to have been planted for targeting the oil field.

"It appeared to us that they were planning to blow up Hasira oil field tonight," Muhamad added.

Security teams removed the device.
