nd;  Geological formations in Kurdistan are uplifted from South to North.  This means that zones like the Cretaceous at Kurdamir to the North of Garmian are shallower and drillable but deeper and not easily accessible at Sarqala/Hasira.  It is difficult to drill really deep in Kurdistan because of the over/under-pressured and unstable formations and fracturing / faulting all of which consume available casing diameters.

In the Far North ( Exxon Block VI for example ) the Oligocene and Cretaceous will have been eroded entirely and targets ( if anything ) will be much deeper and older zones like the Permian.
