water scenarios

water scenarios
If they find water in dst 3/4 then we can definitely say it's perched (since it would be at the same level as the K2 testing of oil).  At that point we would lose some contingent resources but the large majority of our prospective would still be intact.  Barmam would also be something to look forward to.
If they don't find water in dst 3/4 then it will be unknown whether the water is perched or the real owc.  It will then take months for them to drill and test Baram and analyse 3d at kurdamir to determine what the water means.
If it (after Baram testing) does mean that the owc was reached, then Baram, if connected, (although a must now for PSC) will have turned out to be an expensive bust and the prospective resources we now have would be wiped out.  If Baram isn't connected, then we'll still have the resources for that area.
Absolute best case scenario (long term) is no water tested in dst 3/4 and Baram proving that water is perched...with only minimal prospective resources lost.  Second best scenario (short term boost to sp) is water found at dst 3/4, meaning water is perched with some contingent lost but prospective saved.  Worst case would of course be that dst 3/4 flows minimal oil and Baram is under the owc...meaning the field is only a quarter the size that we had hoped.  Sounds like mgmt believes it's perched however.
