Talisman needs to prove significant flow rates inorder to spin off some of their financial obligations. Given the K3 results they will not easily find a partner for T2. They needed a good oilwell and as it turns out they got squat!
My understanding is that the reservoir rock is tight .... ie no primary porosity. The hydrocarbons is in the fractured rock. ... no fractures, no reserves. The best fractures are likely along the crest of the anticline. imo, the boundaries of the pool have been squeezed in, possibly significantly.
