Spdr S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Etf V.XOP.W

Primary Symbol: XOP

The investment seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of an index derived from the oil and gas exploration and production segment of a U. In seeking to track the performance of the S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Select Industry Index, the fund employs a sampling strategy. It generally invests substantially all, but at least 80%, of its total assets in the securities comprising the index. The index represents the oil and gas exploration and production segment of the S&P Total Market Index (S&P TMI).

north sea status?

north sea status?

What is happening with the North Sea discoveries, cash in escrow with BG, dispute, etc ....

It is hard to believe that the treasury is almost bare, after just a few years and what, a 100 million dollars or so later?

I question a lot of the TSX venture companies prudent .... whether it be buying into deals where legal recourse and/or title is questionable, or venturing into just pure speculation ... only to discover millions later that it was a 1 in 5000 proposition to begin with ..... what was that Australian outfit drilling for oil in Central Australia where Hunt and Shell had both given up on years ago, and when their geological theory was laughed at by those in the know as being improbable, if not unlikely .....

someone paid 50 million for that ride ....
