Spdr S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Etf V.XOP.W

Primary Symbol: XOP

The investment seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of an index derived from the oil and gas exploration and production segment of a U. In seeking to track the performance of the S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Select Industry Index, the fund employs a sampling strategy. It generally invests substantially all, but at least 80%, of its total assets in the securities comprising the index. The index represents the oil and gas exploration and production segment of the S&P Total Market Index (S&P TMI).

ok, so no sure thing about the Chevron hit

..... No news on Chevron actually hitting pay - this is what I thought. I love your nice "non-missleading post", Charles ....

Now about the warrants (or lack of) that you so generously asked me to comment on, here's my take. The new issue must have been approved by large investors who hold the big chunks of the stock.

To me, it's actually pretty clear. Those who control XOP do not need any warrants. They will know how much this stock is worth way before the market does, they'll always be able to control this Co (with or without new issues).

I said it in here before, this new stock issue is simply to get operational money for Art & Co. This is what it is, and people who try to make more of it probably read too much Conspiration theory. It's not some structural thing (take some new position, prepare some future steps). This Co can still go South in a jiffy, we haven't got the oil yet. As for NZ, lol .... I won't repeat myself ....

Then of course, I might be way wrong. We'll see.

I also want to disclose that I am looking to add to my XOP position soon. I am of course, as always in the past w/ XOP, long.
