Edgewater Wireless Systems Inc V.YFI

Alternate Symbol(s):  KPIFF

Edgewater Wireless Systems Inc. is engaged in Spectrum Slicing technology for residential and commercial markets. The Company develops advanced wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) silicon solutions, access points, and intellectual property (IP) licensing designed to meet the service needs of service providers and their customers. Its physical layer Spectrum Slicing allows a frequency band to be divided, or sliced, to enable more radios to operate in a given area. Its silicon solutions are products delivering multiple, concurrent channels of Tx and Rx from a single, Wi-Fi standard compliant radio. Its Spectrum Slicing powered products are designed to address the needs of carrier-class, high-density Wi-Fi for both residential and commercial deployments. Its products are designed with its comprehensive, user- friendly and intuitive Element Management System-EdgeNet, that offers service providers with flexibility in configuring and independently monitoring each 802.11 channel in the network.

LOL. You're using wiki to prove a point? Clearly you're of the "it's on the internet so it must be true" ilk. How funny. Since your post was largely empty and irrelevant I will only address one of your so called points. Edgy uses the 2.4Ghz band and specifically the 3 non overlapping channels which are 1,6,11 to delivery their solution. Those channels are obviously not available in the 5Ghz band which means that wifi 3 is strictly a 2.4Ghz solution. They can provide an AP accessing the 5 GHz band by adding a second radio. But that radio is just a bolt on that operates outside of the wifi3 system. And when they add this second radio they have to mitigate a big issues. Any device manufactured in the last few years wants to connect to that 5ghz radio because it is the connection point of choice. Which would overwhelm it. Which is why, if you actually read anything, you'd see they really just want to sell AP's that work on a,b,g only. I'm sure they have some software that limits connection at the 5ghz band so it doesn't get overrun but offering it at all is just marketing so they can look somewhat modern.

And please when ypu try to school me bring something other than wiki and some incorrect points.

I find your posts curious by the way, it's like reading a dark novel. I guess I wonder how someone could derive pleasure from posting what I would equate to gibberish. A quick google search could disprove even your boldest claims to the least experienced investor but I digress...

As I've explained previously when it comes to the radio frequency spectrum there is only so much room available across all of the bands. To claim that anyone is going to switch everything to 5ghz is an absolute lie and is easily disproved with simple and brief searching for information regarding how radio frequency works.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_spectrum
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels

When you say "Edgewater's proposition is 3 channels on the 2.4ghz band" I have to address this one in several ways. #1 Their "proposition" is that they own the IP rights to creating a single radio that is able to transmit and receive data concurrently across multiple spatial streams. #2 They are also able to use this technology @ 5.0ghz since you seem worried about it (it's listed on their site). #3 They're claiming that their WiFi3 outperforms 802.11ac in regards to throughput and range among other important metrics.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spatial_multiplexing (You should REALLY read the first sentence and then review my post again so you don't miss anything this time.)

You're also clearly not aware the ability to configure and optimize a network is not specifically proprietary and that it's an industry standard in a lot of cases. The way different companies go about doing this varies but it's essentially remotely accessing the network. I won't waste more time on this point that was also clearly a lie and misleading.

Additionally, this is my first and only stockhouse account. I do not have another and if you're concerned about this please feel free to report me for review to the admins.

Care for round 2 of the facts vs the feels?

The information you're posting is in several areas factually incorrect.

edgyguy wrote: I still get a chuckle when i read all the post about edgy being ahead of the curve. When it's years behind it. Edgy's whole proposition is 3 channels (1,6,11) on the 2.4Ghz band. The whole market is shifting to 5Ghz using 802.11ac. Which is the fasting grwoing deployment in history. MU-MIMO Wave2 is the new standard for large deployments and if you look at the market it owns the high density space. Plus the companies deploying it have the cloud based technology and management tools to optimize an installation and manage it effectively with little on site time. Keep hoping and dreaming. I feel sorry for baggies who buy that these blips are meaningful other than for a very nice trade.

Go right ahead. You're another dimwit. BTW why did you change alias's?
