Intel, MLSR lol

Multi link from a single radio. not making it up. However good info and I only dig it up cause I am bored. I discovering Intel's entry into multi channel at either the very end of 2019 or very early 2020 I can't remember.

he whole presentation is good but I liked it at 19 minutes in when the discuss PHY and the additional physical channels from a single radio. Gee gosh sounds real familiar.

So are we suing them cause of that down right patent infringement I kept being told after all these years that the extensive portfolio would protect us from or are we a partner. .

IR still isn't returning calls on my end lol but I see his name attached to he news. Bill! Call back!

I would definitely question the logic of suing them. Had one of those a couple of years ago where a small Canadian company sued a large U.S. company for infringement in the U.S. court system. It started off well as the judge appeared to have a balanced opinion and even showed a little bias toward the Canadian company on one of his rulings. That caused a definite change as the judge was then ...more

Two things Tommy. There's more than one way to skin a cat.  Maybe don't take everything Andy says as gospel.  Let me help you out here. You still don't understand the tech. Wifi3 uses a wideband front end and hoovers up the full wifi spectrum. It then processes it to separate the channels. It's wired to use 1,6,9 and it discards the rest. They obviously do more ...more

Wellllllllll I don't think I'll be taking anything you say as gospel as well, but what I can do is email my ole buddy at Cable Labs and see what he says and see how quick I get a call about their legal department getting involved. All jokes aside maybe I'll email Andrew and see if I get a response. What's the harm of a nice email to remind me my investment is protected by our ...more

Sure, be my guest. If they bother to respond you'll get the answer I've given you. That you think Intel and the wifi alliance would be infringing on yfi's patent is pretty crazy. That you don't get that patents cover narrow use cases and there are multiple patents that do the exact same things is surprising. As opposed to having a hypothesis and setting out to prove or disprove you ...more

I'm yet to buy my land on Salspring and that 86 Monte Carlo SS but I do know that my shares of Edgewater are not up for sale or at least the bulk of them until we announce whatever deal we have with our tier one! Allls you can do is hope on the venture you bet it's a gamble! My 1.5m plus a little won't be for sale until after we announce an Order! However, Nuran Wireless (some of time ...more

There's no order coming Tommy. No one is buying from a company that can't finance itself and doesn't t have a product to sell. MLO isn't Intel anymore. It's part of the wifi7 standard. Which means every chip and device maker will be using it. It provides a true multi channel operation that is superior to Yfi, which doesn't give a user multiple channels to use simultaneously ...more

MLO has been in discussion since 2019. However I fail to see how their tech is different from ours. We still transmit that data simultaneously. I still have to laugh at how Wi-Fi 6 was supposed to be the big solver to all these problems and then Wi-Fi 6E comes out so soon after and if it@s true the Wi-Fi seven is three years earlier than expected cycle that reportedly might be 6 to 8 years long.@  ...more

I don't know what happened there but I don't believe what you're saying is that Edgewater  technology can only use one channel at a time they are three physical channels or nine or 12 operating at the same time. Yes what Intel is doing is AKIN to carrier aggregation  I will say this Andrew has never backed down from his claims that more channels were required and that this ...more
Comment by leodevoe on Jul 04, 2022 12:41pm
Yes wifi3 only allows you to use one channel  Each channel is its own network  you log on to it. You don't roam the multiple channels. Andy said it clearly in his recent vid. They've always talked about using each channel for separate functions. VOIP/video/internet etc. They do this to ensure there is no cross channel usage. You can disbelieve MLO uses multiple channels but ...more

I can't help you here. Because they both have multiple data streams doesn't mean they are the same thing. You can't patent using multiple data streams. You can patent a method to do it.  You do realize the difference between wifi6 and wifi6e is the former runs on the 5Ghz band and the latter runs in the 6ghz band. 6e came out as soon as the govt allowed the 6ghz spectrum to be ...more
