Strange

Looks like someone is building a position in their financial future. Might be a whale. Who buys $3 worth of shares?  Could it be the insiders are buying or just someone having a laugh?

Don't know about the 60 shares but then BMO followed up and sold 75,000.

Lettr' Buck! Pandora.  I'm anticipating TD to call IRROC if anything isn't up to his liking at the webinar next week.  I do wonder how they got access to 750 000 homes now. Who do we know that can do that, they have a really good ability to peer in to peoples homes inside the network I wonder if they're related to liberty global at all. Hmmmmmm.

Virgin Media has 3.5 million cable customers.....

But what did they use to look at these households.
Comment by lscfa on Feb 28, 2023 12:02pm
I assume that Virgin was able to see via the HUB (i.e. gateway) the throughput speeds slow down as more devices were connected in the home. "Demonstrated the traditional, single-channel Wi-Fi performance degraded with each device added while Edgewater solution retains performance as devices are added"

Old but relevant blog from Liberty Global...   https://www.libertyglobal.com/intelligent-wifi-to-revolutionise-in-home-connectivity-for-virgin-media-customers/

Given they have provided zero data no one knows what slowed down means. What were the speeds before and after. If it went from 500mbps to 400mbps is that supposed to be an issue? Is a latency improvement from 10ms to 5ms noticeable? Once again we have no baseline to even refer to. Maybe they will provide some info on the webby. Until then their claims are just useless.

I thought the original comment was regarding the trajectory of the Company - nothing to do with MBPS -- how did we get here?

The other thing that bozo mgmt left out of the NRs (but was revealed in a webinar) was that most of the  750,000 homes tested had to throttle back their channels widths to 20mhz when the no. of working devices increased. This is where YFI has inferred that it could have improved performance with one of its units which splits 20mhz channels.
Comment by leodevoe on Feb 28, 2023 1:05pm
You can't split a 20 Mhz channel. And that's not how wifi3 works.  And this argument is just silly. Yfi uses it to drag the world back to where they can play.  A 20 mhz channel is perfectly acceptable for any use case today. Other than large file downloads if you want them fast. I will be curious to see if they discuss this claim in any detail. Frankly it is not what the rest ...more

via Vigrin Media connect app?...... https://www.virginmedia.com/broadband/connect-app

It's a network Tommy. They can see everything going on on it. In fact they need to so they can manage the network and any issues a home may be having. All they did was dump a file with all of the real time stats. What makes no sense in the POC was after analyzing the file they just pulled out some stats for their boxes and said see wer are better. Who knows where the Yfi stats came from ...more

Leo, you are no longer questioning just Edgewater. You're questioning the decision making over at liberty global.
Comment by leodevoe on Feb 28, 2023 12:55pm
I have no idea what LG is thinking or doing. So I can't question anything. If anything you're making claims that have zero backup data.
Comment by VerifiedUser69 on Feb 28, 2023 4:09pm
Leo, I'm sure no matter what it is you will not take In question time if there is one provided and ask any of these relevant concerns you seem to have. I can only hope that if someone built a warehouse and then put a house inside that house and put Eric Smith inside that house that any relevant concerns exponentially beyond your small questions would be solved by people much smarter than that ...more
