Thanks Red, I haven't really thought about the amount Newmont would have to pay to get back in.  I thought this was a new comment in the article: Once Gold Terra completed the option, and outlines 5+Moz Au, Newmont has 18 months for a one-time back-in right for 51%, subject to 3x expenditures and paying US$30/oz Au, which could imply a nice paycheck of at least C$250M in cash assuming ...more

With respect to item 3.0  I don't know if this is true and only my opinion / observation, but I suspect that when GP did his town hall in YK last year he may have had a chance to meet some locals who worked at and know Con like the back of their hands. For years it was rumoured that there was plenty of gold down there when the mine closed, who would know better thanks some of the guys ...more

I just looked and the Kidd Mine north of Timmins is 3000 meters.  That one is a kilometer further down than the Con.  There is one is South Africa that goes down 3900 meters.   In one of the interviews, I think Gerald said you need 15g per ton to make it profitable at the bottom of Con. Overall the two test holes at the bottom of the Con could be very significant.  I ...more

Interesting you should point that out, he is taking a shot at it with a bit of a restricted budget at this time where he could be drilling on other more oz producing areas with shallower holes. Given GPs prowess, and curiosity coupled with info he has collected, it's pretty obvious he thinks it worth the the money to try and either produce on or dispel the rumours, let alone the geology.
