Almost all major discoveries have been made by jonior mining companies.  This includes Voisey's Bay, Ekati, Diavik, Highland Valley, Hemlo, Eskay Creek and many more.  As pointed out by Sprott and Friedland, Junior Miners are being punished right now with ultra-low valuations that will lead to reduced expenditures.  That will lead to fewer discoveries with the inevitable commodity shortages and higher prices down the road.  Those that buy the lows will be rewarded, however many will fall by the wayside.  It doesn't mean that they were bad ideas or poorly executed.  The ability to keep going is a huge advantage, and GP has shown that he believes.

You would think that is a fact that banks and money people would know ( and they do) but what is driving the lack of intest for so many, for the inevitable sure to god they can see the forest....

Too many juniors chasing limited ability to finance everything is playing a role maybe? The enhanced federal flow through shares tax credit (30%) for critical minerals will certainly act to direct more financings towards lithium, ni-cu-page, rare earths, etc  at perhaps the expense of gold projects? Also the TSX refused to allow juniors to disappear in 2012 and 2013 when gold and commodity

Nice post ... all I can say is there is juniors ( we all have them that are so so )  and then there is YGT with what looks to be an outstanding project potential that needs a bit more drilling on a highly prospective target, that should get over a hump. My thinking a few more indicators and GP will have his investment back to where he bought in ... from there the sky is the limit.
