RE: Should Short-sellers Pay Attention to YangarooYou know I would almost buy his argument, but there's a hole or two in it.The largest being that what you saw on Friday was a nice friendly "head up" to the short community to get out while the getting's good. Someone tipped off the short position to pending news, superior pending news, to make them scramble like rats to cover and pull the price down. The second hole is that if they continue to short Tuesday and not cover, and news comes out (possibly one of a series) they will be crushed out of existence as foreign buying seeks to take the upsde hand they started on Friday (check the house positions). Managed and in fact well managed trading, was Fridays hallmark to allow the car to back out of the garage and get to the highway. The question is, will they get to the on ramp to enable a hasty and skin saving retreat. ? I think not. Remember that fear is caused by the unknown, and they smell fear.
