go look at some of the diamond mines in northwest territories.. you will see pictures of them mining a kimberlite pipe.. same thing here.
remember 47 metres (154 ft) of overburden to get out of the way. 800 x 1400 x 47 = 52,640,000 cubic metres of rock and gravel to build roads with i guess.
Barrick have been stripping 14 million m3 at hemlo since last summer to get at the gold they are going to open pit mine on the south side of the highway.
these things take time and lots of money to get going.
show the big guys the tonnage and the grade and the money will flow.
