Greenhouse Tomato prices in the US (Retail)

Greenhouse Tomato prices in the US (Retail)  Ok so I did a quick comp of the greenhouse tomato prices in the US from a retail standpoint. I averaged many different types of tomatoes from greenhouses  to get a rough estimate of the price variations  in comparaison with last year

             2013      2014
Jan       $2.34       $2.67
Feb      $1.81       $2.28
Mar      $2.13       $2.45
Apr      $2.14        $2.44
May     $2.47        $2.20
Jun      $2.06        $2.14
Jul       $2.58        $2.12

I am new to the industry, and dont know much about it yet. But from what I understand, recently the hot weather in california resulted in a quicker maturation of the tomatoes, which force the suppliers to push their products in waves. During those waves, prices tend to drop. We seem to be a niche product, but if we can maintain a steady flow during the downs of these waves Q3 and Q4 will have stronger sales. Prices seem stable and mexican imports are heavily controlled.

Any opinions?

Thanks
