RE:Just so your awareIt'd be great if you could actually post a source for your information, then people could ascertain for themselves that you're only telling half the story. I genuinely think people would appreciate it. Delta - maybe with the exception of Vernon - is already the Canadian capital of cannabis. The Delta mayor is primarily concerned with sellers (dispensing facilities/shops) and their proximity to schools and onset of crime and only secondarily concerned with food supply on a macro level. The old bird is just making noise. Court ruling have already set precedent that local municipalities have no control of what's grown on agricultural land reserves (ALRs) in the province - "the provincial government, which restricts Deltas ability to regulate activities in the ALR, struck down part of Deltas bylaw that prohibited the production of medical pot on farmland, which could pave the way for Village Farms and others." It's also firmly believed this precedent will extend to the recreational market. A mayor and city council cannot mandate what farm land is used for. The province (who controls the land) and the feds are behind this 110%. Look at the facts and details and also acknowledge that EMH has already put $20M in cash on the line here.....they didn't make this investment in this JV without doing their homework. Some smart cookies over there and at VFF. So, everyone, do your own homework. Also, everyone should understand that all the cannabis stocks are valued at their 2019 earnings potential (not even 2018). If you understand this, you'll see that VFF is valued several times below its future peers and in reality, by having infrastructure in the ground, they - once they have a license in hand by ~March - they will be neck and neck with APH and Canopy in supply to market. Again, do your own digging and slinging. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/high-on-the-agenda-delta-mayor-champions-produce-over-pot-at-ubcm-1.4310608 https://www.delta-optimist.com/news/mayor-doesn-t-want-delta-to-become-pot-growing-capital-of-canada-1.23050745
