VIA or Embrys QRL cult

embrys fund is down about 6% this year, me im ahead about 10% (i invest exclusively in gold/silver stocks) No thanks to embry who recomended QRL at .80, yesterday it was .21 he pumped it up shortly to .22 by saying he is buying more QRL at these levels. I sold the remainder of my QRL at .28 and VIA is the main reason Im ahead this year, how did Embry miss VIA?? Van EEden knew about it, first recommended it on ROBTV at $3.00 , thats the time i got in, Embry has no excuse for the missed opp. I give him credit for at least admitting his faux pas. I no longer take embrys advice, when he says VIA is overpriced, and a 'cult stock' it just makes me want to buy more.

did u notice yesterday market call and market call tonight both fielded questions on qrl and via, embry owns the dog and hodson owns the star, embry is buying more qrl at these levels but is not buying via because it has gotten ahead of itself, hodson says buy via and watch it grow steadily over time but avoid qrl at all costs and had to bite his lip to stop from cussing.

I like to watch Embry for his insights, but have come to the same conclusion as those that posted here recently: Embry is good for making small, thinly traded stocks jump on impulse, but shows his ignorance when discussing geological success stories he's not involved with. I've also been watching him pump QRL over the years....shamelessly. A liitle DD on the company showed it to be an ...more

flayer, wouldn't you agree that Embry reiterated something Bishop had already said ... i.e. "VIA is ahead of itself". Granted, Bishop added (correctly, imho) that the best stories are always ahead of themselves. anyways, I still like Embry, but he does seem to have lost some flare with his stock picks, compared with years past. considering the amount of stock he still holds ...more

>>flayer, wouldn't you agree that Embry reiterated something Bishop had already said ... i.e. "VIA is ahead of itself".<< Totally agree. What I have a problem with is his use of the words 'cult stock' as well as failing to highlight how important the Eleonore discovery is.... geologically and for overall sector sentiment.

>>'cult stock'<< - I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt on that, and assume he meant that in an esoteric way, not as a slight to current holders. >>failing to highlight how important the Eleonore discovery is.... geologically<< - absolutely I agree, he failed miserably in this regard. I think it would reflect poorly on him, as a prominent ...more

ill tell you somebody who did not miss virginia, that is adrian day up in annapolis. he is one hell of a money manager and he also writes a globally oriented and hard money oriented investment newsletter. he had that virginia puppy pegged for a champ VERY early, before there were any drill results on elenore, and mentioned it numerous times in his fine publication, adrian day's investment ...more
